Brief: The client wanted a seamless extension and renovation to the heritage house where the new was undetectable from the old.  They wanted more light to be bought into the home and also take advantage of the garden outlook from as many rooms as possible.

This house is heritage listed and therefore there were very tight restrictions in relation to external changes.     The whole interior was gutted and re-designed to suit the needs of the family and function in a way that suits today’s lifestyle.  It was modified to create rooms and larger windows were introduced to create light in dark corridors and rooms. As many of the original elements as possible were restored and used in the re-design. As you enter the house, the transformation is seamless as you walk through the house from old to new.
